Founded in 2011, Sportsmen For Heroes is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to fostering healing and empowerment through the great outdoors. Our mission is to offer veterans and special needs youth transformative experiences in nature. By engaging in outdoor activities, we aim to provide therapeutic benefits, build a supportive community, and honor the service and sacrifices of these remarkable individuals.
We believe that the tranquility and challenges of the great outdoors offer unique opportunities for physical, mental, and emotional rejuvenation. Sportsmen For Heroes is devoted to creating memorable outdoor experiences that inspire and heal.

Sportsman For Heroes Foundation is a non-profit organization and we want to give back to those who have given so much for our freedom. We are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others through healing in the outdoors. We also provide outdoor adventures and opportunities to youth who are disabled or are facing mobility challenges. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience healing through the great outdoors, no matter what challenges they face. INTERVIEW WITH SPORTSMEN FOR HEROES FOUNDER SONNY TAPIA: JAXON "The Legend".
I met this young man and instantly he was a breath of fresh air, being a young boy dealing with an awful disease. Jax never quit smiling, Jax is special, beyond belief. Each day that we spent with Jax gave us a reality check reminding us that we take a lot for granted. On August 13, 2023, we were fortunate to walk Jax to the ridge where his bear awaited him. I have been part of many bear harvests, but this one, beat them all, hands down,
